The Moisy Sisters’ Inn, with a room of the Beheaded, which has become a museum with an original, educational, and playful scenography
Since 1875, the Auberge des Sœurs Moisy has been one of the places where Impressionist painters came to draw their inspiration from the bucolic setting of the Alpes Mancelles. Closed in 1908, the site has become a museum. Its original, educational, and fun scenography immerses you in the history of the plastic arts. The inn is famous for its "Salle des Décapités": where artists used to draw on the walls, with charcoal, the portrait of the guests of the inn lit by candle and rendered life-size by the shadow.
