This region is called Ylitornio, the valley of the Tornio River, which marks the natural border between Sweden and Finland. Despite belonging to two different countries, this region has long lived in osmosis, which has had the effect of blending cultures and traditions. Together with its Swedish counterpart, Overtornea, Ylitornio organizes many joint events. A similar situation, but less developed than Haparanda and Tornio. All in all, a pleasant place to spend a few days and feel the dual cultural and geographical influence of this area that's not really like any other. You be the judge!
