Travel Guide Reserva Nacional Lago Peñuelas

This reserve is characterized by its calm lake and the presence of protected animal species such as the black-necked swan, the Chilean lizard, the peregrine falcon and the colocolo cat, an endemic cat of the country. In terms of flora, the Chilean palm, the orchid and species such as quillay, peumo, litre, boldo, molle, trevo, carob tree and hawthorn, to name only the most representative, can be easily observed. Its main trails are Las Orquídeas, the most accessible, Los Petrillos, which takes 1 hour and 45 minutes to walk, and Los Coipos, located in the area of Los Corrales, which can be covered on foot in 30 minutes.
