This small seaside resort and district of Saint-Raphael, boasts a wonderful bay enclosed between the points of Cape Dramont and La Baumette, with the superb red porphyry cliffs of Rastel d'Agay in the background. This protected bay, appreciated by boats at anchor, also offers several sandy beaches. In the past, this natural refuge was a Roman military port of great strategic importance, very sheltered and therefore appreciated by sailors. This harbour was appreciated by many artists, notably the writer Albert Cohen, who set part of the action of his novel "Belle du Seigneur" here.
