Brunei's largest night market is proving to be a pleasant outing for eating outdoors. The place, quite surprising, looks like a large covered hall set on a car park. Everything is tiled in white for hygiene reasons. Hawkers cook on gas stoves or barbecues. You can try soto, a clear broth served with meat and vermicelli or lok lok lok, meat, fish or vegetable skewers. Only a few tables allow you to eat on site, as the locals take to take away.
