Wolmar, often associated with the town of Flic en Flac, is a seaside extension of the latter. Adorned with flowering shrubs, the coastal road runs straight for two kilometers, ending in a cul-de-sac in Tamarin Bay. Along the coastline, a radical change of spirit and atmosphere takes place just a few hundred meters from Flic en Flac: the popular and somewhat chaotic bustle is succeeded by a calm and select universe. There are no boutiques apart from Cocoon At Home, no leisure centers with a street address, no cafés or restaurants... or rather, there are, but at the top end of the market, in the havens of refined luxury that are the 4 and 5-star hotels that line the coastline almost without interruption. If you're on a budget, don't venture out unless it's for a special occasion, bearing in mind that the hotel restaurants and bars are open to all, subject to reservation. The superb beach stretches for 2 kilometers, shaded by lush coconut groves, with our preference going to the beach at Hotel La Pirogue. As if by magic, the site as a whole is also more scenic. More beautiful than from the sandy areas of Flic en Flac, the ocean view opens out onto bays and mountains, including the eminence of Le Morne, which rises in the distance like a masterly backdrop...
