We leave the coastline to climb the hills that slope gently down behind Anse aux Anglais and Grand Baie. Several hamlets follow one another, all composed of a few scattered houses and rather barren land. No center or public infrastructure. Unless you have decided to do everything on foot or by bus, it is better to have a means of transport. It is in these heights, with a view of the sea in the distance, that one of the island's most upmarket inland establishments is located: Domaine de la Paix. Terre Rouge is also home to the charming guest house of Claude and Benet Augustin.
