You are here on the lands of descendants of the noble family of Andigné. The territory is rich in romantic and historic sites. In the Norman boatyard, 4 km south of Rânes, this commune, one of the least populated in the Park with 45 inhabitants, is characterized by a granite basement and its numerous and vast ponds. The Champ-de-la-Pierre developed around major forges, active in the xvie century, which remains the top furnace classified as a historic monument and its beautifully restored dependencies. The commune is scattered into hamlets today maintained with respect for heritage. A witness to the importance of the metallurgical industry in the Orne, the Forges site has 4 nearby ponds and the wood blast furnace of Grosse Forge, beautifully restored. To see the small rural church, open all year round, decorated with contemporary stained glass windows signed by François Chapuis and which contains graves from the first masters of Forges, recalling the importance of this industry in this municipality and several historical statues including a virgin in wood of the xivth century and a Christ of the seventeenth century.
