This small town of about 4,087 inhabitants is located on the banks of the beautiful Glomma. Its main attraction is undoubtedly the steam train that allows you to travel along the river on a nostalgic trip. The other two places to visit in the vicinity of Sørumsand are Fetsund, 10.5 km to the south along the Glomma River, and Lillestrøm, 18 km to the southwest. In this town, a monoxyl (one piece of wood) oak boat was found that was about 2,200 years old (Carbon 14 dating) and about 10 meters long.
