The Krøderen lake or Krøderfjorden extends for 41 km north of the village of the same name. In Nøresund a bridge spans the lake, which is 200 m wide at this point. The bridge leads to the western side of the lake where the most courageous can climb Norefjell. Since 1872 the town has been the terminus of the Krøder Line railroad and today it is a cultural and historical heritage. The lake is majestic, surrounded by mountains with soft, rounded shapes, like sea animals that have come out of the water to see what is happening on the surface. Houses with grass roofs, and beautiful walks in the surroundings.
