The canton of Schaffhausen is blessed with the Rhine, which provides a natural border with Germany, but above all with beautiful scenery, including the famous Rhine Falls. The canton is also home to several remarkable medieval towns and villages. Obviously, the number of tourists, especially German, is as high as the beauty of the various places. Those allergic to crowds will not like it too much. Schaffhausen is known as an access point to the Rhine Falls (3 km away). This pretty medieval town is well worth a visit for its historic houses, the various religious monuments or the Munot fortress.
