A true Middelburg institution, this café/brewery overlooking the picturesque Vismarkt offers ice cream, coffee, sandwiches etc. in a pleasant and photogenic setting. As soon as you enter, you will feel like you are stepping back in time in a beautiful historical atmosphere. Brown wood, subdued light, everything is there to spend a pleasant sweet break, for example with a well-stocked pastry menu. The vitamin-packed breakfast has a good reputation too. The terrace is pleasant, it's a shame that the staff is not always very attentive.
