The fishermen's island is located to the north of Isola Bella. It is tiny: barely 100 metres wide and 350 metres long. It is the most charming, with its old fishermen's village inhabited all year round, whose narrow, winding alleys extend to the promenade at the northern tip of the island. It is the only one of the Borromean islands that did not belong to the Borromeo family. The ideal place for a romantic stay, to stroll, paint or photograph. It is also a nice place to have lunch, as there is still fishing and many restaurants serve fish from the lake. Unfortunately, in summer, the influx of tourists is really too great.
