The Valsavarenche, together with the Val de Rhêmes and the Valgrisenche, is one of the three wild valleys in the south-western part of the Aosta Valley. It is part of the Gran Paradiso National Park and is one of the main gateways to the park, along with Cogne and Rhêmes. It is populated by only a few hundred inhabitants scattered in stone hamlets. The highest, Pont (1950 m), is the starting point for many excursions and mountaineering tours in the Gran Paradiso massif.The Valsavarenchecross-country ski runs wind between Dégioz and Pont (2,000 m) for 17 km. The trails start from the town hall square and wind their way along the torrent through small villages. The sport becomes a tourist visit! In Pont there are 6 kilometres of approved competition trails. The courses are of varying difficulty, from easy to medium
