Petite-Terre has two communes, Pamandzi and Dzaoudzi/Labattoir. The two districts are separated from Dzaoudzi by the long boulevard des Crabes (Nationale 4). The traffic circle of Four à Chaux is a nerve center, coming from Dzaoudzi, the district of Labattoir is located by going up on the left and that of Pamandzi by continuing on the right on the National 4.Pamandzi. The commune covers 4 km2 and has 11,400 inhabitants since the last census, which is a population density of more than 2,850 inhabitants per km2! The commune has the particularity of being composed of only one town, an obligatory point of passage since it is there that the airport is located. It is also the city of Zéna M'Déré who was the emblematic figure of the commando of the Chatouilleuses who fought in a very original way for the attachment of Mayotte to France. Gas station.Labattoir. It is the third city of Mayotte, with about 15,000 inhabitants. A large shopping center supplies the whole island. The rue du Commerce is the most commercial street. This is where you will do business: to bring back beautiful fabrics or local jewelry, there are several craft stores. In this very street, Rama's grocery store comes to life in the evening at aperitif time, when the Mahorais who love alcohol come to get a bottle that they hide in a bag or consume on the spot while keeping an eye on the people who enter. It is also the most animated street of the island. It is from Labattoir that the roads leave to reach the Dziani lake, the Badamiers and the beaches of Moya.
