The Savoy Beach Hotel's two Michelin-starred restaurant reinterprets Cilento's cuisine in a modern and refined language, using high quality regional products. Bufala cheese is one of the stars of the menu, with buffalo meat deglazed with aglianico. Seafood products are also well represented. The wine list is extensive, with 500 Italian and foreign labels. And to end the meal in all lightness, try the scoop of pistachio ice cream drizzled with extra virgin olive oil: a treat!

Our experience was short (barely 2 hours) but so bad, that we found another place to stay so as not to spend the night here. The room itself was ok but definitely not 4-star quality - it is in desperate need of a refresh. The room lacked basic necessities such as toiletries (we got 1 shampoo and 1 bodywash for 2 people), complimentary tea/coffee, and complimentary water. The items in the minibar looked like they had been there for months. The last straw for us was the on-site bistro restaurant. The very limited menu looked like it had been put together by an unprofessional chef - it was a cross between very basic Italian and burgers and even that doesn't fully describe how odd it was. We both chose a chicken dish and guess what we got? Inedible chicken that was so overcooked that it was impossible to chew but at the same time, it was cold in the middle - this means it had been pre-cooked god knows when and then poorly reheated. We were so appalled. The restaurant staff apologised and did not charge us. If a 4-star hotel can't cook dinner properly, we weren't going to stay for breakfast. Absolutely appalling. The service was also terrible.

Were there for a wedding. Nice rooms. Huge garden with a quite big pool. Food was amazing.
