Concert halls Colmar

Located near the campus and the Grillenbreit district, the Grillen is the contemporary music hall managed by the city of Colmar since 1998. Its capacity does not exceed 350 seats, the concerts remain intimate, far from the zeniths and the gigantic and impersonal halls. All musical styles are represented: pop, rock, punk, soul, metal, hardcore, garage, electro, experimental, rap, blues... Teachers from the conservatory also come to perform there and the hall is open to all associations wishing to organise alternative and festive evenings (notably Live!, After Dark, Hiéro Colmar, Hopla! Zone 51...) The Grillen also puts two rehearsal studios at the disposal of local bands who regularly have the opportunity to showcase their talent during opening acts. Be careful, don't arrive too late on concert evenings as the seats are free (and standing). To preserve your ears, Le Grillen provides earplugs and, in the interest of ecology, the bar's cups are consigned. Le Grillen also hosts very friendly improvisation match evenings and other events such as the jazz off festival. All you have to do is enjoy the concerts, massed in the crowd or in the adjoining bar!

The Comédie de l'Est has changed its name under the impetus of its new directors, Émilie Capliez and Matthieu Cruciani, who are keen to make its local roots more visible. It is now called the Comédie de Colmar. For the rest, the new Comédie de Colmar continues its mission of original creations and presentation of works from all over Europe: theater, opera, dance and shows for children. In a bid to make culture accessible to all, it regularly organizes workshops open to specific audiences.

Concerts, cinema, exhibitions, festivals, puppets: the Lézard association organizes contemporary art exhibitions that show the richness of local plastic creation. The association also develops a rich musical program inside and outside the walls, with the Grillen. It also programs film-debate evenings with the CGR on societal issues. Initiator of very popular festivals, in particular the Musiques métisses festival programmed each year in spring in various places, the Lézard is never short of playful and eclectic ideas.

Named "The Shell", Colmar's outdoor theater welcomes the Colmar Wine Fair every year in the summer. This is an inevitable event where a multitude of singers and groups are taking place for the great pleasure of the Colmarians. Programming is like its legendary habit. The Vintage 2018 will see on stage Indochina, Julien Clerc, Martin Solveig, Scorpions… An appointment you can imagine much awaited, that spectators will appreciate all the while visibility and proximity to the scene with the audience is perfect, not to mention the particularly well studied acoustics. If the sky is clouded, be reassured: huge paintings allow protection. So just take your tickets, hurry up! Although the visitor capacity is 10,000 places, the concerts are quickly complete.
