Welcome to Skiathos!The port and the main town of Skiathos are the gateway to the island. Built on the edge of rocky and wooded peninsulas, the Chora of Skiathos has lost (a little) of its charm with its tourist development. Less visited, because it is slightly more out of the way, the rocky peninsula that extends south to Plakes offers the opportunity for beautiful discoveries, far from the hustle and bustle.The coastal road that serves the south of the Chora gives access to beautiful beaches to cool off in the heart of summer. And if the world still weighs you down, hop on one of the excursion boats to one of the 60 beaches on the island, many of which are not accessible by road, especially to the north and the Venetian castle.
