The city saw the first military experiences of Louis VII of Bavaria during the war between the Dukes of Bavaria and the league of Swabians cities. In September 1388, the King participated in the Siège headquarters. This is the only historical fact that will have marked its history. Today it is worth the visit only for Walhalla temple. It is one of Germany's most remarkable monuments.
