It is one of the first Welsh chapels built in the Chubut valley. In 1880, in contrast to many people, Dating resisted the Great Flood of 1899. Another interesting fact is that the small cemetery around it houses the remains of many of the first Welsh settlers who arrived on the edge of Mimosa. Among them, the founder of Lewis Jones and Abraham Mathews preacher.
