A direct address on the Ribeira. Café do Cais is a bar-snack-restaurant not to be missed on the quays. It serves drinks, francesinhas, croques and salads in a good mood. The octopus salad is a must try. The view is splendid! You will come there to have a drink, to eat a piece before continuing the visit of the city, or to savor a more substantial dish to finish well the day. A smiling and helpful reception, sometimes a little overwhelmed by the large number of customers. We invite you to be a little patient.

DIRTY, STICKY! MOVE!
Run away! the bitter waiter of a certain age refused to clean the disgusting and very sticky table on which we were seated. His response?: “It’s normal! because of the wood sap. » sorry sir, I've been working in wood for 20 years and I know how to distinguish dirt from pine resin. In addition, the dishes were overpriced and seemed really bad according to the customers next to us. move on, there are many other restaurants around and undoubtedly cleaner and more helpful.

Malgré la localisation hyper touristique car on y a une vue sur le pont, la qualité des petiscos est au rendez-vous. Queijo da Serra juste parfait et croquettes d'Alheira succulentes, tout cela accompagné d'un verre de Sangria blanche.

Bar/Restaurant entièrement vitré. Cadre super avec vue sur le Douro. Idéal pour prendre un verre accompagné d'une planche de charcuterie ou de tapas.
Splendid view of the river it is true! But were disappointed by the reception: wanted to dine around 18:30, it was impossible to early in the room more " chic" hotel, but they served snack bar to us, then in the final analysis, their menu was incomplete and finally they asked to only drink because not hot snack available... I say 2 people have been eating already close to us, and that they let other couples be assoeir know that they could not serve them. Strange... Naps left!
