As you enter Odell, you notice a long-closed Mobil station and a few old gas pumps further on. However, it is the Old Standard Sinclair Gas Station, built in 1932, classified as a Route 66 historic site and restored thanks to generous donors, that catches the eye. It no longer sells fuel but you can still visit it and buy souvenirs. Another special feature is that the city built an underpass so that the city's children could cross Route 66 safely. The traffic at the time was such that it was preferable to provide such a facility.
