Opposite the inhospitable Petite Sœur is an annex of paradise: Grande Sœur. Both are owned by the Morel family, who are credited with having restored the reputation of the famous Château de Feuilles de Praslin, a tropical Relais & Châteaux whose guests have the privilege of appropriating this piece of paradise every weekend, whose owners intend to preserve its precious beauty. After crossing the beautiful coconut grove, you arrive on a dreamy beach, fringed with coconut trees and enclosed by the famous Seychelles-style rocks. Five minutes later, you just have to dive into the turquoise blue. Ah! what a beach... Everything is there. Enough to whet your appetite for the barbecue, on the other side of the coconut grove, on the beach where we arrived, near the few tin huts. A place where non-residents of the luxurious Château de Feuilles can only disembark from Monday to Friday from 10:30 am to 3 pm, for a fee of SR 500. And there is no question of venturing too far, because Grande Sœur is only partially open. In the wildest part of the island stands the impressive Roche Criminelle, a steep cliff that has long been a hideout for ships. Legend has it that slaves were thrown from there... Today, you can find turtles, sharks (which come within a few meters of the beach at night) and beautiful multicolored fish, the platax, which you can almost pet in the crystal clear waters... if you give them a few pieces of bread.
