Seven kilometres from Vela Luka, Blato is the most important inland village on the island of Korčula. It is crossed by a majestic avenue of lime trees(Zlinja) more than a kilometre long. Best walked in June when the trees are in bloom! This town, surrounded by fields and vineyards, is worth a visit for its church and its ethnographic museum. But beware, in this part of the island, there are few accommodations, whether in hotels or seasonal rentals. To find your happiness in the area, you will have to go back down to the sea through the hamlets, Gršćica and Prižba, a few kilometers away.
