Located on the outskirts of Leh, on the banks of the Indus, about 8 kilometers from the center. Minibuses run daily between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. (departures every 30 minutes, duration: 15 minutes). The village is home to a large Tibetan community who fled Tibet following the invasion of China. Their living conditions are really not easy, so if you have the time, take a look at the local handicraft stores to support them. This is where His Holiness the Dalai Lama spends a few days in summer. Every year, he gives a religious teaching here. You'll also see some beautiful chörtens lined up.
