In a narrow lane behind the town hall, Kounelas is the best fish tavern in Mykonos. We choose the sin fish of the day, before they take the direction of the kitchen. It's impossible to miss his very pleasant inner courtyard and assault above which a rainbow flag floats. It's a must for fish lovers.

This little restaurant is a delight: every night, its pleasant terrace is filled with joyful conversations in a relaxed and friendly environment. Here you will taste everything that Greek cuisine can do best, with the best ingredients. We feel like at home, the flavors in addition. It is very charming, but often full; to hope to have a table around the well and under the tree, you will have to come early.

In 1971, La Maison de Catherine opened its doors with the idea of bringing French gastronomy to Mykonos. Since then, the name of the restaurant has been anglicized, but the menu remains faithful to its origins. It is an absolute institution in Mykonos and you will have to make a reservation in order to hope to have a table in the discreet whitewashed alley. No "bling-bling" decoration, but an address of (rich) regulars where you will not necessarily be received with the same warmth if you come for the first time. The quality is there if you are in need of coq au vin or tartar...

After the success of the two Nice n' Easy restaurants in Athens, the team came to conquer Mykonos. With a first address on Alefkandra Square in Little Venice, Nice n' Easy expanded in 2017. The focus is on products of organic and local origin. Gluten intolerants will also be happy to be considered. The large terrace can accommodate many guests, which is a plus compared to the restaurants in Chora's narrow streets. Finally, the last advantage: the Nice n' Easy is open all day long.

This is the reference to Neapolitan pizzas in Mykonos and all Cyclades: an Italian foreign minister would have confirmed it a few years ago. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, in a retro decor that recalls the vita of the 1960 s in Italy. The pizzas are made in the purest tradition of Naples.

On the waterfront, with a sublime view of the port, the Remezzo has been an institution since 1967. At the time, he received the whole glamorous jet set that discovered Mykonos with Onassis. Come here for dinner if you want to taste refined (and expensive) Greek cuisine. Otherwise, take advantage of the end of the day to come and have a drink at the bar where a small snack menu is more affordable. Perfect for an evening with a view.

In a beautiful hidden garden, the Kalita is a beautiful establishment. It is located in the calm of Kalogera Street to share small refined entries, kind of elegant variations and gastro mezzedes. For those who want a more individual dish, hand pasta is delicious and the milk pig is a classic.

This very trendy restaurant is well hidden in a sumptuous garden, behind the main street. The immaculate tables are organized around a central bar where you can come to a sharp cocktail without necessarily staying for dinner. On the menu, the star comes back to fish dishes, elegantly cooked according to arrival. Red meat lovers will not be left with some really successful proposals. The whole is very beautiful people, in the right line of what you imagine when you think of the Mykonos jet set.

This traditional tavern is one of the best addresses in Chora. Still little visited by tourists, it is a very pleasant establishment, far from the usual "bling-bling", and still largely faithful to its origins. We eat a delicious homemade cuisine, generous and typical of the island: tomato dumplings, snails, aromatic lamb. Portraits of Mykoniotes decorate the walls, a rustic and successful decoration.

When Australians Victoria and Robert got married in Mykonos about 20 years ago, they didn't know they would end up leaving their country to settle on the island. In 2017, they opened this trendy café-restaurant. Here, healthy eating is in the air: they eat organic, vegan and gluten-free. Well, not exclusively, but vegans and gluten intolerants will be delighted to see the wide choice available from all the large full bowls on offer. Perfect for a fresh lunch, breakfast or a healthy break during the day.

This pleasant restaurant succeeds in being both elegant and simple: no madness of grandeur here but an authentic and modern setting. On the square of the old post office, we come to taste the classics of Greek cuisine revisited in a contemporary sauce. You will appreciate its pleasant location. A quiet courtyard, pastel tables and fresh ingredients for an excellent meal. You can also elbow down at the bar to have delicious cocktails, a little trendier.

Baos Restaurant is the gourmet restaurant of the Myconian Korali hotel in Mykonos. The room is surrounded by picture windows offering a pleasant view of the Aegean Sea. You'll discover Greek cuisine featuring seafood and seasonal ingredients from the hotel's own farm. Fresh sushi is also served, along with excellent wines from the cellar.

You may come across this tavern by chance when you get lost in the laces of the city around Little Venice. But the surprise is excellent. Widely frequented by locals (always a good sign), this establishment is worth a detour for its choice of seafood... not necessarily à la carte. Ask for the catch of the day and let yourself be tempted. Otherwise, it's open all day long for breakfast or a simple coffee and we think it's a good opportunity to meet and talk with locals, out of season at least...

Very well located, this restaurant has the good taste, unlike most of its neighbours, to remain open out of season. Correct prices and the right level of plates and service, sophisticated just right. Excellent octopus in its fava, sausage from Mykonos and keftedes (meatballs) from Maria. We advise you to pick from the mezzes, excellent, rather than take several more expensive and less surprising dishes. The place is also very popular in the morning for its breakfasts (omelettes and fruit yoghurts).

Original, simple and tasty Italian cuisine offered on a shaded terrace. The managers are two Italians and a Greek who speaks French (Maria). The atmosphere is very friendly and lively, and the locals come here regularly. Free wireless internet (during the day). Parking provided. Purchase of handmade ceramics on site. If you are in Mykonos at the end of October, the pasta and music festival takes place there for two days. Take-away food and a hearty breakfast that you can have on your way to the beaches in the south-east of the island. Nice address.

This is the ideal place for candlelight dinners in a palm garden - unique on the island. The dream, also because meals are served on large tables placed in isolated corners of the garden to preserve the privacy of each. Special mention for the chef de cuisine who creates fabulous dishes with Mediterranean and Greek flavours. The service is just as exceptional. Don't leave the island without coming here one evening.
