At the helm, master craftsman Alain and Christel are committed to offering products of excellence: organic breads, but also several delicacies that are hard to find elsewhere, including the famous Pays d'Auge tart, panettone (Italian style!), Christmas jam (homemade) and the delicious teurgoule, which has won numerous awards.

Located close to the Basilica, this pretty tearoom and cookie factory is a reflection of its gourmet products and friendly service. Whether you're looking for a quick sweet or savoury lunch or a break during the day, the choice is as vast as it is challenging: here, chocolate is king and homemade cakes are a gourmet's delight. For a dynamic service, orders are taken at the counter and then served at the table in attractive crockery, all in a beautiful atmosphere!

At his patisserie-chocolaterie, Jacky Pedro, assisted by his wife Huguette, has perpetuated a family tradition in the heart of the Cité des Ducs. Operating since 1987 in this ^{mid-19th century} house, his creations include Point d'Alençon (a crunchy caramel ganache flavoured with green apple), the traditional Bouchon (a roasted almond praline), Diamond d'Alençon (a confection) and Croustillant de Sainte-Thérèse. And don't miss our excellent homemade ice creams!

Located right in the heart of the city, Le Bercail has brought a breath of originality and joy to Alençon evenings. A blend of wood, brick and metal, it produces its own beers (the most popular of which are called "l'Avant-Première" and "Planet of the Hops"). For an aperitif or an evening with friends, accompanied by pizzas or tapas, in a good atmosphere that vibrates to the sounds of concerts every week (with a predilection for jazz and rock sounds), the place is perfect!

This chocolate factory is like no other. Olivier Veil, the owner, is a true chocolate enthusiast who himself blends carefully selected cocoa beans that he has sourced in the Dominican Republic and Madagascar. A prize-winner at the Salon du Chocolat, this chocolate adventurer has been honoured three years running by the Croqueurs de Chocolat national club, and won an award for his BeanToBar Ecuador bar (milk chocolate). He also offers a workshop for chocolate lovers.

A passion for wine and gastronomy comes together at this convivial address, ideal for finding your rare pearl among a wide and rigorous selection of wines, champagnes, whiskies, ciders, perries and cognacs. The selection of delicatessen products, featuring olive oil and chutneys, has been rigorously tested. Note that special products are regularly featured. Note that the owners are also those of Coco Vins, located just across the street: excellent traditional cuisine and fine wines guaranteed!

This is a cheese lover's paradise, and that's why this store bears its name so well! In this shop, all the specialties that delight the palates of gourmets are on display: Camembert (of course), Brie, Gruyère, goat's cheese logs, and also St. Nectaire, Gouda with truffles (yes, yes), Munster... It's a real tour of France's cheese specialties that is on offer here, and the platters that the house makes to order are real little wonders. Please note that on Saturdays, the place is open non-stop.
