Parc Simone Veil, Parc des Promenades, and La Providence are pleasant parks to stroll through in Alençon.
Parc des Promenades: family park with nature-related activities (rose garden, plant maze, animal enclosures, educational garden, pond).
Parc Simone Veil: the Rue Balzac entrance, through a garden criss-crossed by the Briante River, offers a lovely view of the château and provides access to the Parc Simone Veil.
Providence: a square and footbridge on the banks of the Sarthe River in the historic town centre.
Gué de Gesnes: 5.5 ha of paths to explore. Entrance on Rue du Moulin à Vent.
Base de Guéramé: fishing, canoeing and kayaking.

Des jeux différents pour les enfants, quelques animaux. Un espace plante bien aménagé avec quelques bancs. En semaine au beau temps un chouette endroit paisible

Le parc des promenades est un parc très sympatique au coeur du centre ville d'Alençon : lapins, chèvres, paon et autres animaux, jeux pour enfants, petite cabane où on peut acheter des glaces l'été, coins de verdures pour se poser dans l'herbe... Et surtout plein d'animations tout au long de l'année : Alençon plage et ses concerts gratuits, la "bourse des fleurs"...
The park of the Promenade (opposite the clinic) is brilliant. Spaces games for children of all ages and beautiful stroll in the park with a rose garden that you should not miss. Without forgetting the nanny goats, birds,... to discover. Lawns, benches, full of offers friendly for a picnic with children who can gambol with their own way.
