Its elegant facade with the large windows dates back to 1827 and its first stone was laid by the Duchess of Angoulême, daughter of Louis XVI. At the time of completion, the trade in the hemp canvas, to which it was intended, had fallen sharply. At the end of the nineteenth century, the hall was set up as a ballroom and is now a conference room. Various events (concerts, conferences, etc.) are organized regularly. A l'origine, la Halle aux Toiles comme son nom l'indique était le lieu de commerce des toiles, de chanvre notamment. Maintenant sa fonction a évoluée et s'est un lieu culturel qui accueille des congrès. Le bâtiment est grand et bien conservé avec un parvis piétonnier devant.
