In the Middle Ages, the commune of Junglinster underwent gradual development thanks to its privileged geographical location, crossed by the Roman road leading from Metz to Trier. Together with the neighboring villages of Bourglinster and Altlinster, it formed the domain of the Lords of Linster. The magnificent castle of Bourglinster, where these lords lived, is very close by, less than 5 km away. A beautiful late-Baroque church, built between 1772 and 1773, dominates the town. Today, Junglinster is a major residential community with a beautiful golf course and a number of fine restaurants.
