Open for five years now, the um Eck café is housed in a wing of the Diderich bookshop. With just a few tables, this ultra-cosy café offers an extensive menu of coffees, teas and other hot beverages. Several sweet offerings strut the counter, making customers' mouths water, along with sandwiches and salads. A shopping area features gourds, recipe books and groceries. Saturday brunch (reservations required).

With a nice terrace at the front of the building, the Babbocaffè is a meeting place for many locals. People come here to drink a coffee on the go, right at the counter, or to sit for a longer time at one of the few tables. In addition to the classic espresso and cappuccino, the menu offers various flavored drinks. All the coffees that can be tasted on site are also sold in beans or ground, as evidenced by the roasting and grinding machine located next to the bar. Tea and grocery products are also available.

License plates on the walls, advertising signs, trendy music... Although its look is very casual (you'd think you're on Route 66!), this café holds an important place in the social life of Esch-sur-Alzette. It's one of the liveliest places in the city centre, which unfortunately tends to get deserted little by little... People come here to drink a coffee and enjoy the terrace or a beer with friends. The establishment can count on a clientele of regulars, who enjoy backgammon evenings and chess tournaments.

Since 1993, the Conservatoire de musique d'Esch-sur-Alzette has been offering numerous classical and jazz concerts with a season that generally begins in October and ends in May of the following year. The line-up includes nationally and internationally renowned artists and groups.

At the same time, the Conservatory has a teaching mission and offers many courses throughout the year: solfège, orchestra and choir conducting, brass, percussion... but also dance, electro-acoustic or spoken disciplines.

More than 150 performances take place there every year with shows of all genres: operas, operettas, concerts, dance shows, variety shows, jazz, musicals... The large hall can accommodate more than 500 people. The small hall, which can accommodate up to 100 people, is better suited to intimate shows, literary and poetic evenings, café-theatre, jazz concerts, etc. The second floor of the theatre is reserved for the presentation of artistic or thematic exhibitions, while the ground floor houses a bar.

Located in a residential area of Esch-sur-Alzette, the Escher Kafé is a friendly café that is loved for its good-natured atmosphere and vintage decoration. The establishment features a bowling alley, a reading corner and a lounge. There are many events, such as concerts, DJ nights, exhibitions and even Bike Repair days, during which cyclists can have their bikes repaired on site. In addition to a wide selection of drinks, the café offers a small snack.
