Located at the foot of the Dogger slope, in the Haute Chiers valley, Differdange - nicknamed the Iron City - is the second largest town in the Terres Rouges region and the third largest in the Grand Duchy (24,800 inhabitants). Like Pétange and other towns further west, it benefits from the proximity of tourist attractions such as Minett Park Fond-de-Gras, the working-class houses of Lasauvage and the remains of the Titelberg. After the completion of the Aquasud aquatic center in 2013, followed by the regional cultural center in 2014, Differdange continues to implement the "1,535 °C" project, which aims to be a new base for the creative industry in Luxembourg.
