A little jewel nestled in a cove between sea and mountains... The tiny village, with very few year-round inhabitants, is home to a few houses, several restaurants and a pleasant little beach with turquoise waters that are a delight for swimmers and divers alike. Built between the 10th and 13th centuries, the Benedictine abbey, majestically dominating the village, gave it its name. The bronze statue of Christ of the Abyss can be found in the depths of the water. Contemplative visitors are advised to spend the day, or at least half a day, at to make the most of this timeless and soothing place.
