This is perhaps the most beholder corner of Belarus. To grasp its magnificence, climb at the top of the mountain Majak, in the vicinity of Enterprise, between Snudy and Strusto lakes in the northern part of the park. From the top of its 44,5 metres, you will enjoy a breathtaking panorama: a series of blue lakes crossed from green forests to a loss of sight. A heart of Poozerje, the lakes region, this park was founded in 1995 to protect this precious ecosystem whose formation dates back to the last glaciation. While the southern part consists mainly of marshes and forests, the central and northern parts are interspersed with blue lakes, linked by a multitude of rivers and surmounted by hills. The real wealth of the park lies in its lakes with crystalline waters, rich in nearly 250 species of fish. The majestic forests south of Lake Dryvyaty, pine and fir trees are inhabited by deer, elk, beaver, deer, wolves, wild boar, lynx, foxes… In the park there are also 189 bird species. The Lake Snudy area and its many islands, in particular, will delight the passionnés of:: here are 55 bird species, for a total of 7 000 people! The park is also dotted with a myriad of tiny villages to the charming Catholic churches with red brick and stone pieces. Examples of this type of construction, typical of the region, are found in the villages of Enterprise, Vidzy, Ikazn and Bacula. It is a fascinating place to discover on foot, by bike, horse or boat.
