Quintay is a small, languid fishing village with a large, pretty beach to the north and a smaller, lesser-known beach to the south, ideal for camping. Located 47 km from Valparaiso, Quintay is a breath of fresh air and a very pleasant excursion off the beaten track. You can visit its whale museum, located in the old Ballenera, a former whale butchering site until 1967 (one of the largest on the Pacific coast). A walk along the coastal path and a seafood tasting will round off your excursion to this small fishing port of unchanged tranquillity.
