Close to the northern entrance of the Sinharaja forest, Rakwana is a pretty little town surrounded by waterfalls and tea plantations. Rakwana and its surroundings seduce by their authenticity. The place being rather remote and totally unknown to the tourists, we find neither pollution, nor modernization. Just after the village, we start a winding road composed of a dozen curves on less than 10 km, with about twenty waterfalls on the way. The environment is healthy and favourable for long walks, where we will cross many wild animals in freedom. Beware however of leeches, very present in the area
