Travel Guide Confignon

Confignon has kept its village character with its 4 600 inhabitants. It benefits from a beautiful geographical location and its sunny hillsides are dedicated to the cultivation of the vine. The canton of Geneva is the third largest producer of wine in Switzerland, behind the Valais and Vaud. Several producers are located in the commune. Crossed by the river Aire, the town includes the locality of Cressy. It is a wellness destination with the Cressy baths and its hot waters. The small town still remains rural despite the rapid urbanization. It has been home to famous people, including Jean-Jacques Rousseau and the painter Liotard.
