The small town of Meinier, south of the city of Geneva, is composed of several hamlets: Carre-d'Amont, Carre-d'Aval, Corsinge, Essert and Compois. It is a country village which has nevertheless developed, in collaboration with the commune of Collonge-Bellerive, the industrial and artisanal zone of La Pallanterie where numerous companies have set up shop. The vineyards offer bucolic walks, and a passage in front of the fortified house of Corsinge, dating from the 17th century, offers an interesting stop.
