Bernex is a very old town dating from the Celtic period (Celtic name Brenay). The Romans took part in the development of the village. The commune of Bernex is located to the west of the city of Geneva. The town now has almost 10,000 inhabitants. In addition to the village, the commune contains the villages of Lully, Sézenove, Chèvres and Loëx. The major part of the communal territory is dedicated to agriculture and mainly to the cultivation of vines. No less than 27 grape varieties enrich the Bernesian vineyard, of which the best known are gamaret, chardonnay and mondeuse. You can therefore choose between 13 whites and 14 reds for tasting.
