Close to the west coast of Nosy Be, the small island of Nosy Sakatia (6 km long and 2 km wide) is nicknamed "Orchid Island" for its concentration of orchids. The varied islet stretches from beaches to creeks, from rice fields to villages, and is dotted with paths where it's not unusual to come across chameleons. The area is rich in diving spots and boasts one of the most beautiful seagrass beds in this part of Mada, where you can observe several species of sea turtle - it's like being in a natural aquarium! Nearby, Nosy Rasty is a necropolis dotted with tombs and sacred sites. In order to respect its sacred character, we'll be going there only with Malagasy.
