The Tsingy de l'Ankarana, with its strange and superb geological formations, is one of Madagascar's most famous parks. This national park, located some 30 km north of Ambilobe (about 110 km south of Diego), covers an area of 18,255 hectares. Its main attraction is a spectacular geological complex, the Tsingy, surrounded by rivers, canyons (dolines) and dry or green tropical forest. It's a world of mineral and plant beauty that can be admired over a day, half-day or several days camping in the park. The park also boasts a unique flora and fauna.
