The name Lavanono ("long breasts") refers to a small sugar loaf that stands in the sea. We are 6 hours away from Fort-Dauphin, the same time for Itampolo (provided that the two rivers are dry, if not count double). It is therefore better to plan to stay there for at least two nights to rest your back and enjoy the sea. The surfing spot is renowned and regularly hosts championships. Kitesurfing and windsurfing are also possible. Here only purists come, far from the show-off. The area is superb, especially the arrival on the road which overhangs a coralline valley formed by the fall of a meteorite.
