If you know the city ofAntsirabe, you have inevitably come across rickshaws or cyclos-pousses. They are the most practical way to get around the city! The Crown Athletics Club, chaired by Yann Mayette, is particularly attentive to the drivers of these rickshaws since many of them train in his club. "The drivers, who are real athletes, have difficult living and working conditions. They don't own their vehicles, they rent them by the week or by the day, their daily income hardly exceeds 2 euros" he says
So to help the runners, Yann Mayette, ultra traileur and President has set up a project with Eric Delattre, editor of the magazine "Respirez Sports" want to set up a kitty. The goal would be to raise 1500 euros in order to acquire between four and six new pushchairs for the Trail club of the city of Antsirabe and to make them available to athletes. This is not the first time that the two men organize a collection to support the athletes. Already in 2020, a crownfounding campaign had allowed to finance the travel of the athletes on the Malagasy national competitions, to buy rice and products of first necessity during the crisis of Covid-19
This collection will also allow to keep the culture of the city alive, the sprouts being an integral part of it
