Thus far independent, the library of Lomme joined the network of libraries buildings in July 2016. Only the documentary shuttle service is not yet functional, but it will be 2017. It is a great and beautiful library on two floors, with large spaces, a hundred seating places, a 80-seat auditorium, a remarkable press area, a children's area, a cyber space with computer and computer stations, a 20 seats room, with free Wi-Fi and printing service.

Gratuite pour les habitants de Lomme et de Lille, à la médiathèque l'Odyssée vous pourrez emprunter jusqu'à 6 livres en même temps mais également y retirer des cd, dvd, avoir un accès à internet ou y voir des expositions.
Chaque année la médiathèque organise le prix du Marais destiné à promouvoir la littérature contemporaine .
