It's a deformation of the Breton poul-manac'h, meaning monk's marsh. The natural site of Ploumanac'h, located 3 kilometers northwest of Perros-Guirec, features splendid pink granite rocks, some 300 million years old. With their eccentric shapes and chaotic heaps, these rocks are a dazzling sight in a shade of pink that glows red at sunset. Ploumanac'h is home to one of the most protected harbors on Brittany's northern coast. Don't miss the old tide mill, the lighthouse from which you can see the Château de Costaérès, built in 1896, and the Sept-Iles archipelago.
