CATHEDRAL OF THE HOLY TRINITY

Sveti Trojka Cathedral (Свети Тројка) occupies an important place in the history of Serbian art with its original architecture and iconostasis. The construction of the church began on October 18, 1856 and lasted until 1872. Its consecration took place just after the liberation in 1878. The walls of the temple were built in different styles: Serbian-Byzantine, Islamic, Renaissance, with Western European Baroque elements.
