Aleksandrovac, 30 km south of Kruševac, and its surroundings are known for their vineyards and ethnotourism. The green and sunny hills of this region have attracted and settled people from all over the world since Neolithic times. As far as wine is concerned, it is known that the monks of Studenica and Hilandar cultivated their vineyards here and that even King Lazarus had a wine cellar here. The region contributed a lot to the wars of liberation against the Turks, and King Milan, as a reward, named the central city after his successor, Alexander. A very royal honor, of which the city is still very proud.
