This 1960 monument by artist Vojin Bakić commemorates the struggle of communist partisans against Nazism is located on the Krušik hill above the city, overlooking the right bank of the Kolubara River in Vidrak. The monumental sculpture depicts young Stefan Filipović, a national hero, with his arms outstretched as a sign of victory, symbolizing the refusal to give up to the occupier. In 1941, this young metal worker from Valjevo called for an uprising on the scaffold.
