Travel Guide Majdanpek (Мајданпек)

This small Soviet industrial town of 7,000 inhabitants nestled among the mountains is the best place to start the in-depth visit of the park. The town, or rather the mountain resort, is located 25 km from Donji Milanovac, and the road leading to it is taken up the Danube to the north after the village of Reškovica. Majdanpek is located in the heart of the mountain range, at an altitude of 500 meters, and it is one of the most beautiful places in the park. The town is famous for its large-scale copper mining enterprise launched by the socialist government, which turned this mountain town into a mushroom town... even though it is technically a nature park
