This tomb of the Cenazy family dating from 1790 attests to the Armenian presence in Novi Sad. It is in fact the last testimony of the presence at this place of the Armenian cemetery, destroyed in the 19th century. In fact, this neighborhood was home to a large Armenian community, which had its own churches, stores and cultural life, before disappearing as a result of the troubles of the Balkan wars at the turn of the century of nationalism. The upper plaque of the tomb bears six intertwined white marble hearts with the inscription "Inseparable".
